The issue with that is someone needs time to grieve the relationship. It's healthy, and it's necessary to not carry baggage man. Same with you. Does it suck? Yeah, but like I said above... if you don't do it you aren't operating out of your true self. You're just operating and making choices to avoid the pain and consequences. What that does is breed repression of feelings, and ultimately it leads to depression and bad mental health. It's healthy to be alone for awhile after a relationship. Like 6 months to a year at least. I don't buy the checking out crap most people say they do.
