avustt Posted June 20, 2004 Share Posted June 20, 2004 i was suppose to have my period the week of june 6th last week. but i skipped it and kept taking my birth control pills and now this week i have been spotting since tuesday. i was wondering what this means? am i pregnant? whats going on! kate111 Posted June 20, 2004 Share Posted June 20, 2004 If you have started a new brand of pill this is probably why you are spotting. It happens when the oestrogen level in the pill is not high enough in the pill i think. Just in case, do a pregnancy test. The pill will not effect the test's accuracy. Link to comment
Amethyst Posted June 22, 2004 Share Posted June 22, 2004 Birth control pills affect your cycles. In fact, many women no longer have periods while they are on the pill. The fact that you are bleeding now says you aren't pregnant, so you have nothing to worry about. Link to comment
