Is it ok to ask someone you are casually dating if they are happy in there life right now?

If not for long, it might sound like you are insecure, and looking for validation that they are happy that they met you.

That seems to me an appropriate question! I think the response could tell you a lot about the person. How they react/respond to the question could be just as telling as the answer itself. Like if they are interested or not in talking about deeper subjects.

 

I would also think that somebody would be more inclined to start a serious relationship if they were already genuinely happy with themselves and their life. Not that this is necessarily what you are looking for, since I don't know..
