Ok folks, my head is spinning here and I'm turning to you for assistance. I have met this girl through a mutual friend. I got her phone number and called her and we had 2 good (1 hour) conversations. Then we met up briefly for coffee. Well, i was TOTALLY nervous and i know she smelled it. I went in w/out expectations b/c I didn't want to be disappointed, so I wasn't expecting her to be as attractive. It completely rattled me and I couldn't look at her in the eye and kept looking away.

Well, following that 1hour in-person meeting, she has not returned my calls, or does after more than 1 day. We had 1 conversation and it got cut off by a "long distance phone call" and she would call me back...but no call. I have emailed her a couple times and either a late response, or non at all. I asked her out for Sat night and she said yes. She then called me today and said a family dinner came up and asked if we could reschedule for next week.

Ok...so anyone with a brain will say that these are tell-tale signs she's not interested. But the thing is, when we do get a chance to talk, the conversations are great. She laughs, tells me a lot about her. We have a great time on the phone. She's also really busy with law school applications, final exams and has a full-time job....so could it be she really is too busy?

I guess my question is this..is she just too nice to outright reject me? If that is the case, why do we have such great conversations over the phone?

FYI, she's 26 years old. THanks for your help!
