  1. The thing I need help with is this: How do I get a sailboat?!?! Can you "rent" one and have someone take you out on it? Like those fishing excursions?

everyplace has charter sailboats w/ captains. google the name of place you want to go and "sailboat charter"

i.e. newport rhode island sailboat charter/ miami florida sailboat charter etc.

  2. Might I respectfully suggest you look up the definition of the word "cult" and you will see it has no relevance.

I know the definition, I was a Baptist Elder who helped people get out of it.

We could go into any other church, you can't w/o someone giving you the riot act.

"Thus, while Jehovah's Witnesses profess to be Christians, they are outside orthodox Christianity and are considered to be, theologically, a cult of Christianity.

Sociologically, this religious movement has a number of cult-like characteristics and problems as well, including the high level of control exerted over its members' lives, its unbiblical approach to the practice of shunning, and its teachings regarding blood transfusions (which have resulted in many needless deaths)."

    ............

Some cults explicitly deny central doctrines of the Christian faith.

    1. The Jehovah's Witnesses vehemently deny the doctrine of the Trinity (see their widely circulated booklet, Should You Believe in the Trinity? which argues against the doctrine).

JEHOVAHS WITNESSES AND THEIR VIEW OF JESUS CHRIST

Jehovahs Witnesses freely profess to believe in Jesus Christ. But what exactly is their view of Jesus?

Upon close examination, we find that Jehovahs Witnesses preach a Jesus whos vastly different from the Jesus of the Bible. Jehovahs Witnesses regard Jesus as the first and only being directly created by Jehovah God (cf. John 1:1-3). They believe that Jehovah God has never had any personal contact with creation, but was indirectly responsible for the creation of all beings by empowering Jesus to bring the physical universe into existence. Its interesting to note that the Gnostics who were denounced by the early church held strikingly similar views.

Jehovahs Witnesses also deny that Jesus is God Almighty (cf. Phil. 2:6-7). They claim that Jesus is not all-powerful, that He is not all-knowing, and that He is not even all-present. Curiously enough, however, they deny these same attributes about their own Jehovah God!

In addition to all of this, Jehovahs Witnesses insist that Jesus should not be worshipped (cf. Matt. 2:11; 28:9; Heb. 1:6), and that prayers should not be addressed to Him (cf. Acts 7:59-60; 9:13-14). And while they concede that Jesus should be honored, they refuse to honor Him to the same degree God the Father is honored. This, of course, flies directly in the face of what Jesus proclaimed in John 5:23, when He said that it is Gods will for all to honor the Son just as they honor the Father. On top of this, Jehovahs Witnesses teach that when Jesus Christ was made flesh He became only a mere man who might have sinned but, fortunately for us, didn't (cf. John 5:19; 7:18; 8:55).

  3. Did you know that today, the 2nd Monday of January (in the US), is the usually the most common day for filing for the big D - Divorce? Meaning, this day sees the most filings of any other day through-out the year.

    WOW!

That's because you get 100% tax benefits/write offs for the prev. year.

  4. Dako,

This virgin dreams about her husfriend or husband performing all types of sexual acts. makes you think all virgins are reserve sexually?

I'll agree w/ that from personal experience. There were 2 virgins that I was with that became instant experts from all the fantasies they already had about lovemaking just from reading.

  5. You can transmit by shaking hands or touching the persons genitals or they didn't wash their hands after the bathroom but the possibility is very remote.

No home type tests as they require blood work. See a doctor if you think you have any symptoms.

What makes you think you have something?

  6.

    STAGES of greef

    1 shock

    2 angry

    3 denile

    4 depression

    5 exseptence

I could have the ouder wrong but thows are the stages you will go throw.

Close enough the acceptance takes a while then you learn to fight and be a survivor.

  7. I have been taking loads of intelligence tests recently and they are all giving me high results. My highest so far is 135 and my lowest 130, from this I would place my iq at about 133. Now that would place me in the "very high to gifted" category. I've always known that I had a high intelligence but now that I've seen it on paper it seems odd to me.

This might seem a bit big headed but there is a point to this. I've never found entertainment in things like socalising, drinking, partying or pretty much anything like that.

Now here's my problem. Some people (for some reason, mostly women) think that I'm arrogant or big headed.

Ist, Sorry to burst your bubble but 135 is not high, it's just 15 points above average and is at the low end of "gifted".

I've always been a party animal, easy to talk to, down to earth AND I don't flaunt my IQ like you apparently try to do. (evidenced by this post)

You are letting it go to your head w/o any valid reason and "arrogant" would really be an understatement.

    p.s.

The basis for my comments is the fact that I scored a "158" on my military IQ test and those are the most accurate, way back when I was getting drafted. The 158 is also the "raw" number and still needs to be scaled......

  8. When I went to Babies R Us to shop one day, this guy worked there who pretty much read every manual ever written about carseats. He urged me to buy the Graco Snugride with EPS. This is a fairly new feature he told me, and all their newer carseats feature this. It's an Energy Absorbing Liner that covers the plastic part of the carseat and it's supposed to absorb so much shock from a collision that there's really no point to buying one without it. Or so I've been told.

Extra dense foam will help a "little bit" but the kinetic energy absorbed from the cars actual seat and the stretch of the seat belt does much more because it's already incorporated into the design. A piece of dense mattress topper cut to line the seat will do the same thing. Just buy a quality seat.

    FWIW,

You would pay over $1000.00 for a seat w/ an actual dampening system (a seat w/ hyd. pistons and arms that is bolted to the car) that could dampen enough in a real crash. It would also fill most of the back seat.

  9. Jehovah's are a documented cult, they indoctrinate/brainwash you slowly until they alienate you from everyone that isn't a Jehovah unless they convert also.

If he continues in that cult, you will be history.

The Watchtower is their companion book that has all the the things like Jesus ISN'T the son of god but is the Archangel Michael (false and disproved in Revelation), the nonsense of not getting a transfusion etc. etc.. They will also milk you dry for money.

    Everything you would want to know to get him out of there;
