I also think that most people are good. But thanks to the media and whatnot, idiots stand out and become newsworthy.

I completely agree with you, Batya! I so understand you two as I love the feel of books as well even though I use an ebook reader. I just find that sometimes we focus too much on what we can see (eg. empty shelves), when what matters most is the heart (e.g. kindness). :)

I'm aware these are difficult times, so here's a little bit of encouragement to all of you:

Kinda liking someone and then not knowing if he likes you back. I wish I was able to read people through text. It shouldn't be that complicated.

That's good to hear! Re the animals being discarded - apparently some people were getting rid of their cats and / or dogs due to believing that they may be coronavirus carriers. Very disheartening! What is concerning is how individuals who are unable to earn money at present, or in the near future, will be able to survive. Some peeps live pay check to pay check. Then, there are the homeless who rely on soup kitchens for food and shelters to keep warm at night. Anyhow, as for positive things, the silence is wonderful. Being able to hear animals instead of cars, is actually nice. Also, global air pollution levels are plummeting. So there's that, too.

Some people are viciously cruel and insulting. What happened to treating everyone with respect?

The Ukrainian plane crash in Iran is very devastating.

I wish they would assign a dedicated area for moshing. Some of us don't want to be punched or squished to death.
