How do you know if your going thru puberty or not?

yeah umm my friend is 13 and he has been going on and on for the last 2 weeks and i have to prove something to him. this is the question he's been asking me: how do you know if your going thru puberty or not?

well im not sure about guys...but im sure you get pubic hair like girls, and start getting male facial hair a little....um other then that im really not that sure what guys do.

There are a lot of different ways to tell. Your body starts to physically change. Boy's voices start getting deeper & they start growing facial hair. You start growing hair in other places too. Basically a lot happens through out puberty. Those are the ones I can think of at the moment.

i have gone though it. not big. all the things dont happen at once. you dont need to grow facial hair and voice change. even with in the same year. certain people have the 4 changes. some one at a time. MY voice is like allitle kid iam 15. so not all the signs need to happen at once. i have been waiting for my voice to change forever. But i didnt even care or really lose sleep over it. seriously no big. go on the internet for that one. you no what i mean.

The first change will probably by pubic hair. Then your voice will deepen. Your muscles will develop quicker (u in general will grow bigger). Facial hair is usually in the later stages as u get into you older teens.

Basically everyone has covered most things

You will also start to get erections, sometimes in embarrassing situations... for example, a bumpy car ride could be enough.

Also, you might experience some wet dreams.

Seriously though, it's nothing to worry about or be embarrassed about. Everyone goes through puberty.

ok well thanks. i told him that but hes telling me that "it" hasnt grown yet. he says his is like 2-3 on a normal, non erect mode and i tell him to shut up b4 he starts saying more stuff lol...would some1 prove him or me wrong. is 2-3 normal for teens?
