Jalapeno1234
Around ten days ago I developed a pressure in my bladder, similar to what I had last year with frequent UTIs. I went to the doctor two days ago as I wanted to get it sorted but to my delight (and confusion) I got the all clear on infection. The nurse said "it could be viral as opposed to bacterial but you've not got a UTI". I'm not sexually active and I have no pain or burning just an irritating pressure that builds up every 3-4 hours. Anyone have any idea? Link to comment
smackie9
Get a second opinion.....go to a different doctor. I thought I had a bladder infection, but it turned out to be a yeast infection. Symptoms can differ from person to person. Link to comment
luminousone
Call them back and tell them you have the same sympyoms. If it is not a UTI, then they need to investigate what is causing those symptoms. You might just get a referral to a urologist, since that is their specialty. Is there any chance you might be pregnant?? Or, have you had children and perhaps you have a prolapsed bladder - an injury from childbirth? Link to comment
Wiseman2
It's unclear that these symptoms were not addressed and you weren't referred to a gyn and GI specialist for a thorough workup.08-08-2018: I've noticed it mostly in the mornings and then it gets to a point where I'll need to use the bathroom to relieve myself. However it's not like I have loose stools, just the bad pain before I go. Link to comment
Jalapeno1234
It's unclear that these symptoms were not addressed and you weren't referred to a gyn and GI specialist for a thorough workup. This pain vanished the day I posted ; I believe I had too much coffee and/or a virus perhaps(my mum also had it). This current feeling Is located directly where my bladder is, whereas the cramps I experienced a fortnight ago weren't at all anywhere near my bladder but more on the side and feeling on the lower abdominal area. However you make a good point as both sound as if there'd be a correlation. I also got told that a yeast infection would show in my urine test so that's why I eliminated the option. Cheers for the help though , gonna ring the doc up for second opinion Link to comment
annie24
I had something similar happen to me. I made an appointment to see a urologist in a few weeks, but then the symptoms went away on their own. Hope you are ok now!! Link to comment
