what should I do?

i'm going to see some bands with a mutual friend of ours.

we've been broken up three weeks, and I'm on day 6 of NC.

should I not go? or should I just go and play it cool, keep my emotions in check. be fun, seemingly happy and all that?

any advice or anyone who has been in this situation let me know.

well you are going out with friends, and you are going to be doing something fun, and I would not ruin that by getting all sappy and emotional.....so take this night to have fun, with your friends, and if you happen to cross paths with him, smile say hi, be pleasant, but leave it at that......

it seems like that would be awkward, because we're still kind of close.

i feel like i should just chat with her as if we were friends. but will that ruin the effect of the no-contact? man, such panic.

If you don't have to run INTO her, don't.

 

You can co-exist without stressing out. If you're doing NC, continue it. If she approaches you, say hi, how are you doing, That's great. I have to go to the lou, I'll see you around later I guess.

 

If you're in the process of getting over her, don't let the closeness of your previous relationship affect your progress so far. Be strong!

Keep it short and sweet, If you see her be friendly but not too friendly. If you don't run into her then great! keep NC. Things will work out for the better Good luck!

If you can keep your emotions in check and not get set back by this then go, but i have a feeling that you're not ready yet. Still too emotionally affected so i'd stay back.
