This isn't a love poem, just interested to hear what people think.. I wrote it a few years ago and kind of lost interest in literature/poetry after that. I'm kind of debating whether toget back into it or not.

Hero

Firm impedance; let us in!

The semblant seraphs roam again...

Death, destruction rolling in!

The list of heroes grows ever thin...

“To arms! To arms!” the sentry cries!

Abhorrence awaiting; courage dies...

Defenses fall, the arrows fly!

Shot by stringent, deadly eyes...

Defenders perish; all are dead!

But one remains, looking overhead...

Clad in armor; filled with dread!

He slowly rises and glares ahead...

Descending steps; unsheathing his sword

He looks accross the barren ford...

Through crumbling walls emerges the Horde!

Unwavering he ensues; on his own accord...

Deep blackness falls; it fills the air.

Eyes are seen; many a pair...

Certain death he knows is there!

The battle rages; he does not care...

Faith decreed; the people freed

Saved by a Hero in their time of need.

In a pool of blood, the Hero lies

Confronted by the townsmen’s eyes...

Through their tears and rage and plain surprise

The townsmen hear the Hero reply:

“The stars are out my friends, Good Night.”
