onlyhuman
I'm lucky not to go through any heartbreaking, infact life is good to me. But trust me I've been in that ditch, mud, hell etc. more times than I want to remember. One feeling-better song I listened to through those times was by Massive Attack "better things". Here is the lyrics for it: " "Better Things" [Tracy Thorn] Don't drag me down Just because you're down And just cause you're blue Don't make me too And though you've found You need more than me Don't talk to me About being free That's freedom without love And magic without love Magic without love Hear me say Better things will surely come our way Hear me say Better things will surely come our way You say the magic's gone Well i'm not a magician You say the spark's gone Well get an electrician And save your line about needing to be free All that's bull * * * * babe You just want rid of me You want freedom without love And magic without love Magic without love Yeah Hear me say Better things will surely come my way Hear me say Better things will surely come my way " .... Keep on believing in yourself, respect yourself, love yourself. -- onlyhuman Link to comment
friscodj
A favorite of mine is the song "Chains of Love" by the 80's band Erasure...big hair lives baby...together we'll break these chains of love... Link to comment
MyEyesHurt
I don't know how much this applies, but it cheered me up. "Be alright" by the Untouchables "It's been a week since you've had a good meal but still you drink like it's going out of style It doesn't matter how bad you feel you're living hard, still you smile To waste your life is a crying shame but you only have yourself to blame Even though you know it's tearing you apart deap down inside you know in your heart It will be alright, It will be alright It will be alright, It will be alright" Link to comment
pos69sum
I don't know if it's a breakup song per se, but I've been singing along to 'Wake Up' by Coheed and Cambria Link to comment
dstanzler
Bobby Jean - Bruce Springsteen Well I came by your house the other day, your mother said you went away She said there was nothing that I could have done There was nothing nobody could say Me and you we've known each other ever since we were sixteen I wished I would have known I wished I could have called you Just to say goodbye bobby jean Now you hung with me when all the others turned away turned up their noise We liked the same music we liked the same bands we liked the same clothes We told each other that we were the wildest, the wildest things we'd ever Seen Now I wished you would have told me I wished I could have talked to you Just to say goodbye bobby jean Now we went walking in the rain talking about the pain from the world we hid Now there ain't nobody nowhere nohow gonna ever understand me the way you did Maybe you'll be out there on that road somewhere In some bus or train traveling along In some motel room there'll be a radio playing And you'll hear me sing this song Well if you do you'll know I'm thinking of you and all the miles in between And I'm just calling one last time not to change your mind But just to say I miss you baby, good luck goodbye, bobby jean Link to comment
