doverf5ve
During the pandemic I was let go from my company. The region wasn’t doing well. My company terminated me but the company reached out after 4 months telling me they wanted to offer me a fixed term contract for 3 months. I was very grateful to be in a job even if it was a short one. After proving myself I asked if the contract would likely extend or go perm. My manager told me it was not possible and that I should start looking. So I did. I’ve been in final stages and waiting to hear back when my company told me that can offer me a fixed term contract that will be another 6 months. Of course I was pleased but I told them I had starting interviewing and that I’m now in final stages. I now have an offer and it’s perm and my company have come back saying they want to offer me a perm role. I’m so confused, the risk of starting again or the instability with the current firm I’m with. Argh. Link to comment

SooSad33
You are still within something you do enjoy? If they are now offering you a perm spot, isn't this what you wanted? Link to comment
catfeeder
Start with how you feel about the current company. Have you been happy there while temping? If so, consider extending the contract. If not, pursue the new thing. As far a 'permanence,' I'd consider that to be an illusion that nobody can promise. Link to comment
