How long should I wait?

Theres this girl I really like, I see her at school and I talk to her a lot. I've always kind of fancied her, but just recently she was flirting with me a lot. Should I get to know her better first, before asking her out, or should I just ask her out then get to know her better afterwards?

 

I don't want to rush things, but at the same time I don't want to wait too long and risk her losing interest.

Ask her when your ready, there is no time frame for doing this. If you have been talking alot and seem like get along, then just ask.
