Few days ago I got fb friend request from some familiar name so I went to check it out and it turns out to be a girl I briefly dated in my high school.

 

The thing with us is that we went on a few dates and just kind of wandered away from each other. And this has been about 5 years ago.

 

I do remember seeing her in the crowd about a month ago,but I just tought "oh she reminds me of somebody really hard".

 

Anyway,my question here is should I try to contact her,or should I treat this as random fb request?

In general, what you should strive for is as soon as you cross paths with a girl that you have any interest in, your immediate response should be to take action. Don't doubt what you want. Pursue what you want. That's the only way you're going to get what you want.

Say hi, how are you, what have you been doing etc. If she responds positively, take it from there.

The must obvious opener would be to reference how you two know each other and you just recognized who she is. It doesn't have to be something profound. Don't try to get her in love with you from your opening line.
