Do the holidays make anyone else miss their ex?

I just wanted to share that since it is Thanksgiving, it can be tough to enjoy the holidays this year when you recently lose the one you loved. I've had my moments but I feel like I've done well so far as the holidays begin. It's always a different kind of sadness for me when this time rolls around for many reasons. My feet are forward though.

 

I hope others with similar situations are holding strong as well.

Last year it did hit me hard as we had present for each others kids. This year not a thought of her as she is a distant memory.

Yes, my ex just got engaged last week so double whammy.

Sorry to hear Feast, I've dealt with that before, which is never fun. Mine moved out of state but is back within an hour or so of me if she decided to return for Thanksgiving. I spent it last year there with her family and it was great. I've had a good time with my parents this year, though I still feel as though something is missing. Christmas is what I'm more so not looking forward to.
