Michaelando11
After one month NC, I messaged my ex. I apologized for everything that happened, how I was wrong for the things I said, how I'm not ready to be friends and I forgave her for the way she left me. It hurt to tell her that after the conversation I wished her the best in life as I don't expect talking to her until we've both moved on or its best if we don't speak to each other again. She mutually felt the same way and agreed. My mind is clear but yet I still feel empty. I tell myself that because I'm so young this is a learning experience and I have a lot more to loo forward to. Things only get better from here. "forgive others not because they deserve forgiveness but because you deserve peace" Link to comment
Clinton
You do whatever it takes to move forward. If that's forgiving your ex, that's fine. Forgiveness isn't necessary though and sometimes hating them goes a long way to getting you past the breakup. Link to comment
ghostgirl116
absolutely... forgiveness is for you. I think it's so hard to see that when you're hurting, but it is very brave of you to see things that way. and things do get better! Link to comment
