Just out of curiosity, do people really believe things happen for a reason??

 

I'm not talking religiously or spiritually but personally I believe things happen for a reason. But I have yet to find the direct answers. However maybe they are meant to be left unanswered...

I used to believe that very much.

 

Now, I would say I believe most events are random. That's just my own logic because I feel that if we have free will, fate cannot exist, otherwise we are nothing more than chess pawns.

 

I think that, because we are thinking beings, we are able to attribute meanings to all sorts of things in our lives. I'm not mocking those who believe in fate or that things happen for a reason, because like I said I was all into that stuff once and I respect the thoughts of others.

 

I'm just saying that for me, for my life where I am right now and with my experience, that's how I see things. I used to make myself crazy trying to figure out the reasons, so I decided to let that all go, even if for my own sanity, because my brain couldn't handle it.
