I hate My Mother and my family

I come from a family where u bite your tongue and take disrespact and put downs. Recently I had some family friends act very disrespectfully towards me. I said something back and when I told my mom she said even though they were wrong why are u picking fights with them. You should just move on. And on top of that she said she will apologize to that family on my behalf. I ing hate her for not standing up for me.

I don't know how old you are, but yes, i agree, there comes a time when they can't push you around like you're 7 years old anymore. You're an adult (I presume) and they need to treat you with respect as well. Just because they are older doesn't mean they can be jerks to you. I know that this can be a cultural thing, but I applaud you for maintaining your boundaries.
