greywolf
I've moved to Florida! So I need an updated wardrobe. I had never gotten proper summer clothes this year yet anyway. My main problem is shoes. It rains every day here. I used to just wear chucks or slippers all the time, but since it rains here, those aren't very practical. I decided to wear some flats today that are more water resistant, but I feel a bit overdressed today. This is a small city with mostly an older population. I suppose sandals are an option, but I am not exagerrating when I say that I have very unattractive feet, so I tend to avoid any open toed cute shoes/sandals that draw attention to my toes/feet. Most of them don't fit my wide feet anyway. Any other tips are welcome! Link to comment
Edmund Exley
Flip flops are all you need. No one will be paying attention to your feet. I spent 4 years in Florida and am dying to go back Link to comment
NIN2000
I've lived in Florida all my life. Rains everyday in the summer, 3 to 4 times a day. No one cares how your feet look. It's to hot and humid to even care. Dress as you like.... Link to comment
jenesaispas
It does tend to rain daily in florida in the summer, but that tapers off after hurricane season. You could look for a pair of those merrel or other brand shoes- kind of flats, but they're breathable and good for long walks! I lived in florida as a kid; watch out for them fire ants!
