I'm confused and hurt help me decide

Hi I'm new here..I will try to keep this short..I have been dating a guy for a while now off and on..and I'm ready for more..I want a relationship with him..he had a job offer in Atlanta and turn it down to stay in the city..now he says he needs time to emotionally come to grips with leaving his son behind in Atlanta and he cries when he thinks about not being able to see him..so I dont want to seem insentive and tell him either you give me what I want now or im out! My friend thinks he is stringing me alone..but im the only one who knows his true feelings for me..do I stay and give him more time or do I leave? I'm in love with him and he says he loves me..what should I do?

I am a confused Maddy. Is he planning to move a distance from you? Has he already moved a distance from his son? Need more information please...
