Settling for an ex...why?

I have two friends. Both of them are great people but the problem I have with them is that they're just settling for these guys who've treated them very bad. I just need help with what to say to them and how I can get them to stop settling for these guys.

Theres really nothing you can do. They have to realize first for them selfs that they are making the wrong decisions with choosing the wrong guys. Until then you can just tell them and tell them but dont push it too much because you might lose there friendship. but until they realize all you can really do is support them like a friend should.

Let them figure it out for themselves whether they are with the right guy or not.
