piratehound
This was what I observed today. Women were more flirty, and I overheard a conversation or two where a women talked about how she was going home alone - and non-too-pleased about that fact. Link to comment

I don't think single women are more desperate on Valentine's day.If they are feeling desperate about not being in a relationship I am sure they feel that desperation all of the time. Link to comment
The_Seeker
LOL Desperate? I think both sides. But some just don't care and just have fun. Link to comment
faithful14
No, I don't think so. Valentine's Day is a day that just makes single people more aware of the fact that they are not in a relationship. Link to comment

Cognitive_Canine
I think it affects single men just as much. Not all single people care so much about Valentine's day though. Link to comment
Jd1983
I think it's just the mere fact that they see couple's all around, and they feel lonely, not really desperate per se. Link to comment
SayWhen
It depends on the individual person. Some women do become more desperate because they're more aware of the fact that they're single. The same goes for men. Personally I don't care about the holiday even though I'm engaged because I believe you should celebrate those you love every day, not just on February 14th. Link to comment
In the Dark
I felt a bit bummed out this valentines day so personally I feel someone who is not with someone can feel a little stink about it regardless of gender. Link to comment
BriarRose
It is a difficult day for single women. We see our co-workers getting flowers, see couples having dinner, holding hands, etc. It's the day of the year where we are reminded most that we are alone. But I don't see that single men would feel differently, they just may not express it. Link to comment
