getting_on_ok
My ex broke up with me about a little more then 2 months ago. I went to California and came back and I was telling my mom about my trip. She tells me that my ex sent her some chain mail thing via text about people in your life. And then she calls my mom. My mom doesnt answer, but she left a message saying hello I just want to tell you how my life is going. Why would she do that? Link to comment

bronte
My guess would be that she was wondering how you're doing and thought contacting your mom was a way to find out without risking an unpleasant conversation with you by contacting you directly. What her motivations might be for doing that, I don't know--it could be that she's having second thoughts about the break-up, but it could also be that she simply knows that she hurt you and wanted to hear that you're doing okay. It's impossible to really know without knowing more about your ex and about the break-up, and even then we'd just be guessing... Link to comment
