liquer
Long-term relationships (LTRs). you hear so much about them these days, maybe I'm out of touch, but what exactly is one? How are they defined? Link to comment
ProtestTheHero
When I think "LTR," I think "Post-honeymoon phase." To me, it's a progression from infatuation into something more (lol, more work, more problems, etc.). Link to comment
Crazyaboutdogs
I think it is when you have been boyfriend-girlfriend for at least a year. People who are looking for Long-term relationships just don't want to be dating people for 6 months and then moving on. Link to comment

_Asti_
Long term, to me, is several years. An LTR is just short of being married, or you're on your way to 'spending your lives together' [as some people aren't interested in marriage...] To me, long term relationship comes off as something steady, secure and serious. People can say I've been with my boyfriend for a year, and not exactly be serious [as I've seen people be with someone for close to two years and not exactly be serious, or moving towards something more.] Whereas saying you've been in a long term relationship, sort of sends off the message that you've been together for several years. Btw. infatuation seens to fade/disspear for most people within 6-18 months. Link to comment
