How to protect myself from someone who is potentially violent?

Everything has been very quiet up until last night.

 

About 8:30pm someone knocked on my door, when i got to answer it they had gone (super fast)

 

Then about 9:30pm someone knocked on my window, i called out "who is it?", there was no answer and then i said "that's it i am calling the police" and then Dad and i went out and there was no one there, they had run off pretty quick.

 

I am not sure if this is related to him, but i think it is as we have been living here so long and this hasnt ever happened before,we live in a VERY quiet area.

I am not sure if i should alert the police of this.

 

I am certainly making my own notes about it.

I think it could be him but it's hard to say for sure. The police would probably do little or nothing about it, as there's probably nothing they can do about someone knocking on your door or window. It might be worth a call to them just to ask though. It's good you're keeping notes anyway.

Thanks Greensleeves. I did make notes and decided not to alert them this time. But if it happens again i will call them.

 

Last night when i came home there was a car parked opposite to my home, i couldnt see in (as it was dark and the windows seemed heavily tinted)

When i arrived i got out the car, stood on the foot path and looked over directly at the car and they started the engine and went off pretty quick.

 

Once again not sure if it was random or related to him.
