Day 5 of NC. Going better than expected

Ok I know it is only 5 days but it is going better than I thought. I was a wreck last week and have had NC since Tuesday. She sent me an email Tuesday and I have not even opened it. It is just better that I do not. The emails have just contained reasons why we should not be together and hurtful comments. I decided that I would not respond to the last email.

 

I am the dumpee and really do think this NC is the best approach. I did all of the asking to get back together already and the answer kept coming back to NO.

 

I am concerned that she still has a house key of mine. I would have thought she would have mailed it to me with some other stuff. If I dumped someone I would make sure they got their stuff back so they had no reason to contact me.

atkin, good for you keep it up! NC is the best approach! DOn't respond to anything that is breaking NC and it will bring you back to square one. God luck!

Atkin, get the lock on the house changed.

 

Nothing is going to dig its heels into you worse then if you come home and she's waiting for you. If you don't, you're giving her power over your life. You're giving her a way in.

 

Change the lock and never break NC.
