EQD
hydrocodone. i've never done it. but it makes sense. not sure you are supposed to drive while on it though hmm.. Link to comment
greensleeves
If your exam is in two hours be careful with any strong medication because you'll want to be alert. A hot bath is good and extra strength midol which is specifically for period cramps, bloating etc. is good. You don't have alot of time, so maybe one of those heat therapy pads that stick your body might work. Link to comment
Scorpion Fury
I wouldn't advise you to take any prescription painkillers that will make you drowsy, as you won't do as well on your test. I'm not sure what part of the world you're in, but if you're in the states, you can get OTC Naproxyn sodium pills at any Target, Wal-Mart, drugstore, etc. These are the only non-prescription pills that even take the edge off for me. Some of my girlfriends swear by aspirin. (It thins your blood. Maybe makes it easier to pass through you?) And also one of those heating pads you can buy at the store too, I think they last 8 hours. Are you allergic to any medication? Link to comment
pinkelephant
bath is out of the question, i live on res. i'll go get one of those heating pad. ugh. Link to comment

MissIndigo
Midol + caffeine always worked for me if I needed quick relief. It did make me a little more jittery since it was a jolt on top of a jolt, but mission accomplished--the pain went away. My usual course of quick action was the 2 Midol + 1/2 can or so of Diet Coke. greensleeves
Yeh! Another vote for midol! I used to use Advil and I find that midol (I use extra strength) it better and faster. I always drink diet coke with it too....never connected that the caffiene was helping. It might even speed up the absorbtion of the midol. Link to comment
anggrace
Caffiene never fails to make my cramps worse. Be careful with that. Everyones different of coarse but it's not a good time to take risks. Heating pads always do it for me. Good luck on your exam Link to comment
