Yes. If they are abusive to you, if they create problems for you or if you create problems for them. Things like that.

Sure... Perhaps they like someone else more. Or like the person but have other things they need/want to do in life at the stage they are in. I have liked ALL of my partners very, very much. It certainly doesn't mean I should have married any one of them.

 

If someone leaves you, it's because they weren't FOR you. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less. Someone else is. Do not "personalize" it.

abusive...verbally or physically. cheats. pretty much anything bad. but then i wouldn't like them much. other than those things, why would i just leave someone i like?

Another big reason that I don't think was mentioned yet is: moving. I think many people decide to end things with someone they like due to not wanting to be in a long-distance relationship.
