Buy a blank canvas, a couple of paint brushes, and a starter set of paint.

 

Paint a totally random painting with him and watch a dvd tv season (friends, sex in the city, 24, whichever)

 

Guranteed to be a fun night that won't put you out more than $50ish unless you need to buy the dvd set.

Not sure if it'd work as well from a girl to a guy, but the obvious one for 12 is roses... But like I said, if it were FOR a girl, it may work a lot better...

 

I don't know what your budget is, but 2 concert tickets is a good one for 2 if there's a particular band or artist you two are into together. Or if thats too overpriced, 2 movie tickets for Christmas Day, a lot of people go to the movies on Christmas.

you could do homemade dinners of his choice... nights out on the town with you for example drinks if your old enough or dinners at his fav place to eat...massages ect.
