ex tried contacting me

Woke up this morning and had 8 missed calls from my ex and 2 text messages, one saying "Where are you?" and the other saying "I'm drunk and tired and need someone to talk to." I'm not even sad about it, just kind of weirded out. And a little pissed. Why does it have to be like this?

 

Sorry, don't have much else to say about it, just needed to post on here because it was really unexpected.

Thanks wishiknew. I agree totally. I think I'm angry too b/c it just goes to show how egocentric he is. What, I'm supposed to serve as an ego boost on the nights you're feeling lonely? I'd rather go to hell than give him that satisfaction

I also received calls last night from this guy. I was still awake but didn't pick up the phone. It was 3 a.m. probably he's drunk, he didn't even know what he was doing or looking for a bootycall.

Let me ask you guys something,

When is a good time to reinitiate contact after a guy does dumb things after a break up like dinking and dialing and crappy sad messages.

 

i.e....when would it not make you angry?

yeah, drunk dialing is one of those charming aspects of a breakup... his inhibitions are down, and he dials away... could have wanted to talk, but more like either pick a fight, or ask for a booty call...

 

he may be embarrassed about it himself if he has sobered up now... you really can't take drunk dialing seriously as an indication of anything other than the alcohol talking... if you yield and respond to drunk dialing, the next day he may have totally forgotten you talked, or else run away harder because he is embarrassed or realizes that was a dumb thing to do because he wants to break up, and had a moment of nostalgia and yielded to it while drunk.

I don't think I could ever be drunk enough to call anyone just to talk. Like an girl I don't see anymore.

 

I think I called a girl one time, and it was during a blackout. I don't even remember the call, that's how scary drunk I was.

 

He obviously wants to talk to you but is too much of a wuss to do it sober.

From the sounds of it the drunk-dialing calls are not welcome, but I wonder how come *I* haven't gotten one...we've been broken up a little over a week and nothing...
