are there guys out there that are pig enough to joke and say that they want to propose? what would be the reasons to why they'd joke about it? or do guys take this as a very serious thing?

It depends on what you mean. Could be flattery, sarcasm, sincerety, a sick joke, all sorts of things. Maybe you could describe the situation.

I guess that depends on the context. My boyfriend and I sometimes can make silly comments about future things like that, but also we can be pretty serious about it.

If he meant it as a joke to get you upset, tell him you don't appreciate that type of behavior and won't tolerate being disrespected.

 

If it was just a fun joke, just kick him anyway.

ya, i know i was not specific about the question. but my b/f constantly says he wants to propose to me and have a wonderful life together and he has always said this.... lol, now im just waiting for him to come back home cuz as of now he is at BC, he recently joined the military. i guess ill know the truth when he comes back and pops the question. ha, says he already considers us married. i am just not too sure if he means what he says and how sincere he is when he says these kinda of things..
