Hi.

Whenever I'm in whatever type of situation, that involves some strong feelings; I listen to a lot of music .. I use music as a way of helping me through either some rough or good times.. or whatever! To enhance feelings; or help them go away.. At least for me, music is in a strong way connected to the feelings I have.

So what I was wondering was .. Does anyone have any good lovesongs to recommend? I'm a bit heartbroken; so if you know some songs about being that; or just some SAD lovetunes with a nice ring to it .. Would you please post the name of the song, and artist here? SAD is the key word. I'm putting together a CD .. "Down" -What can fit that description?

Oh, my God! My subject!

I don't know what kind of music you like...I tend to like lots of stuff. But you want broken heart songs...try Country (not cheesy twangy country, newer pop country).

How about Jo Dee Messina's "I Wish":

It's not easy saying this to you

It's the hardest thing I've ever had to do

But boy before you go

I want you to know

I wish you strength when times are hard

Oh I wish with all my heart you find what you're looking for

I wish you joy, I wish you peace

And that every star you see's within your reach

And I wish you still loved me

I wish that things were different you know that

But still I'm happy for the time we had

You mean the world to me

Baby please believe

I wish you strength when times are hard...

Or Lonestar's "Smile":

I still remember the night we met

You said you loved my smile

But your love for me was like a summer breeze

Oh, it lasted for a while

I could hold on a little tighter I know

But when you love someone you gotta let 'em go, so...

I'm gonna smile

'Cause I want to make you happy

Laugh, so you can't see me cry

I'm gonna let you go in style

And even if it kills me

I'm gonna smile....

I could go on forever!!!!!!!

as u could probly tell from my screenname thing, i'm into punk n emo and all that junk. the "band" that i think has the best slow, love sappy kinda songs (THAT ROCK) is by far Dashboard Confessional.

if ur willing to buy a cd by him, then go with the mtv unplugged one, which is what i got. very good stuff. the last two tracks "Again I Go Unnoticed" and "Hands Down". the first is about being denied love, and the second is about his best date, both very good. then there's always the classic "Screaming Infedilities".

just search around the internet for what ur into, u'll find something that u dig. wish ya the best a luck findin what u want man.

REM - Everybody Hurts

The girl who broke my hearts favourite song actually .. It was one of my favourites too, but I don't know!

Good song though. That's the kind of songs I'm looking for!

Something soft and sad .. Soft rockish; old classics? Sumptin!

Led Zeppelin 'Goin to California'

Pete Yorn 'Easy'

Ben Folds 'Gone'

Bob Dylan 'Most of the Time'

Travis 'Why Does it Always Rain on Me'

Cher is great If I could turn back time, Strong enough, Believe also

Matchbox 20 has a few good ones too like Push and the new one, I'm not crazy (not sure of the title) There are a lot of chick songs Gloria Gaynor I will Survive

Anything by Sheryl Crow or Patsy Cline

Sister Hazel- Your Winter

Joan Armatrading- The Weakness in me

My Favorite Is Billy Joel- And so it goes

In every heart there is a room

a sanctuary safe and strong

To heal the wounds from lovers past

until a new one comes along

I spoke to you in cautious tone

You answered me with no pretense

And still I feel I said too much

My silence is my self-defense

And everytime I've held a rose

It seems I only felt the thorns

And so it goes and so it goes

And so will you soon I suppose

But if my silence made you leave

Then that would be my worst mistake

So I will share this room with you

And you can have this heart to break

And this is why my eyes are closed

Its just as well for all I've seen

And so it goes and so it goes

And you're the only one who knows

So I would choose to be with you

That's if the choice were mine to make

But you can make decisions too

And you can have this heart to break

And so it goes and so it goes

and your the only one who knows

without you my friend

And it hurts me

to look into the mirror at myself

and it hurts even more

to have to be with somebody else

and it's so hard to do

and so easy to say

but sometimes

sometimes you just have to walk away

walk away

With so many people

to love in my life

why do I worry

about one

But you put the happy

in my ness

you put the good times

into my fun

and it's so hard to do

and so easy to say

but sometimes

sometimes you just have to walk away

walk away

and head for the door

One Last Cry

My shattered dreams and broken heart

Are mending on the shelf

I saw you holding hands

Standing close to someone else

Now I sit all alone

Wishing all my feelings was gone

I gave my best to you

Nothing for me to do

But have one last cry

[Chorus

One last cry

Before I leave it all behind

I gotta put you out of my mind this time

Stop living a lie

I guess I'm down to my last cry

Cry.....

I was here

You were there

Guess we never could agree

While the sun shines on you

I need some love to rain on me

Still I sit all alone

Wishing all my feelings was gone

Gotta get over you

Nothing for me to do

But have one last cry

[Chorus

One last cry

Before I leave it all behind

I goota put you out of my mind

For the very last time

Been living a lie

I guess I'm down, I guess I'm down

I guess I'm down...

I guess I'm down...on ma knees suckin your dick nigga plz

To my last cry...

6,8,12

Ooh, ooh

Do you ever think about me?

Do you ever cry yourself to sleep?

In the middle of the night when you're awake,

Are you calling out for me?

Do you ever reminisce?

I can't believe in nothing like this

I know it's crazy

How I still can feel your kiss

[1] - It's been six months, eight days, twelve hours

Since you went away

I miss you so much and I don't know what to say

I should be over you

I should know better but it's just not the case

It's been six months, eight days, twelve hours

Since you went away

Do you ever ask about me?

Do your friends still tell you what to do?

Every time the phone rings,

Do you wish it was me calling you?

Do you still feel the same?

Or has time put out the flame?

I miss you

Is everything okay?

[Repeat 1]

It's hard enough just passing the time

When I can't seem to get you off my mind

And where is the good in goodbye?

Tell me why, tell me why

[Repeat 1]
