Avoid her or pursue

Hi,

 

There's a girl that i like. Now I've known this girl's family for a long time and I've only ever socialized with her a few times in the past but that was in a large social setting. I've never had the change to socialize with her when she's on her own. I would like to hang out with her.

 

However I've heard several rumors recently that she's in a relationship but she's keeping it on the down low. They've been together for 3 years apparently(on and off). Only her parents and close friends know. I ignored the rumors at first but i believe it could be true because recently i saw a picture of her and i deduced that its her "boyfriend".

 

Should i stay away from her?
