chitown9
Hello dog owners, I am seriously considering preparing my dog's food opposed to buying store brands. Can anyone give me some tips? I see apples and carrots and foods such as that being added in some of the dog foods I have seen, but....dogs do not eat these things in the wild. I am confused. I know that dogs like rice and eggs, BUT....is it the best thing for the dog? I just want to do the best thing for my precious little dog. Thanks....chi Link to comment
Seraphim
I have a gf who makes her own dog food. As treats she does feed her dog apples and oranges . He's a massive English Mastiff but he has a lot of bone misformation so he has to stay really lean . Regular food made him gassy and sick. But I will try to remember to ask her. Link to comment
danewillow
I feed my dogs a 100% raw diet. 80% meat, 10% bone, 5% liver, 5% other organs. They love it and are very healthy. Link to comment
