Absence makes the heart grow fonder?

Hi guys,

 

I am going away on vacation for 4-5 months and I am a little worried i am going to be forgotten about by my friends and well my ex. I guess after everything i've done for her it would suck to go travel the world and come back and not have been missed =\. My ex has never experienced what life is like without me for more than 2 months so this will be new to her but I feel like out of sight out of mind is going to kick in and it'll just help her forget all about me. Sigh...Opinions?

If she's an EX, then I wouldn't be concerned about it. It's the past. Over. An EX. And friends do not simply forget someone just because they went on vacation for a while.

If that were to happen, wouldn't it be in your favor in order to help you to move on?

Nobody would forget you. You're being over dramatic. Although you may not be forgotten, you may not be missed. Don't take this the wrong way, but you're expecting something from your ex. You have no control over what she thinks or remembers about you. The sooner you accept and practice putting the focus back on you, the sooner you heal.
