I knew it would get better. I just didn't know when.

I'm putting this under "healing after break-up" even if the relationship was FWB. (And fell for him. Hard.) And to add to that, I see him everyday at work. It was tough but I did all the right things:

  • Low contact first couple of weeks
  • No contact up til this week - story below
  • I cried my heart out
  • I found distraction through practicing yoga even when I hated it (getting toned in the process)
  • I hung out with my friends again
  • I reconnected with old friends
  • I focused on my career
  • I changed my diet for the better
  • I joined a dating site for the sake of appreciating attention from other guys

 

The effect?

Although I still have thoughts of reconciling with him, I can now talk to him in a professional manner. I used to ignore emails or avoid meetings/conversations. Until this week, when I absolutely had to discuss projects and such. It took about 2-3 months. There's a guy I am currently seeing. He seems to like me. I'm keeping my options open. I'm keeping my workout routine and seeing my friends. I can say that i'm 99.3% healed from the so-called "break-up". And I'm pretty psyched.
