I bow my head to honour all our fallen soldiers both the US and her allies in all the conflicts past and present.

Yet, this is my list of my buddies, people I trained with, or who trained me, people I served with or knew personally. Each one of these men were an integral part of my life and some the life of my family, some more than others, but all equally as important.

They are ALL missed.

Yes there are more who died in 2010-to present and they should be honoured as well…. I just didn’t know anyone personally who was active duty.

I was informed the youtube link isn't working..the song is my immortal...

another is TAPS

here are the words that are associated with the song

Day is done, gone the sun,

From the lake, from the hill,

From the sky.

All is well, safely rest,

God is nigh. Thanks and praise, For our days,

’Neath the sun, ’Neath the stars,

’Neath the sky,

As we go, This we know,

God is nigh.Fades the light; And afar

Goeth day, And the stars

Shineth bright,

Fare thee well; Day has gone,

Night is on.Go to sleep, peaceful sleep,

May the soldier or sailor,

God keep.

On the land or the deep,

Safe in sleep.Love, good night, Must thou go,

When the day, And the night

Need thee so?

All is well. Speedeth all

To their rest.

Soldiers sacrifice their lives to protect their countrymen. I salute to all the soldiers of all the world to whichever nation they belong......but its a shame on us that we still could not end the war after thousands of years of evolution. Its a shame on us that we still have to make soldiers out of fellow citizens in the name of protection and country.......

What would the world like be....if all lived peacefully...without fighting ....without wars....without soldiers sacrificing their lives. But this would also mean no frontiers no boundaries....no european, asian, american.....no country ....no belongingness..no religion..only humanity as the true religion of all.

Is government taking any action on finding them ?

No they are not...but are we as individuals doing as much as we can?

I thank you for you post my friend....know maybe you can see why I'm a little off base and why I value your comments

There are two sets of action possible on the level of individual...one is..opes such issues in the right forums....television shows....media, take the help of NGO's...social workers and all...

the other action is find out why there is war, conflict, hatred in this world....Find out if we are secretly contributing to it or not......We are all in internal conflict and confusion....and this conflict expresses itself outside in the way of war, struggle, confusion and pain......Find out why thinking has become so important....Find out if self centered activity can end...Find out if we can be free from our conditioning...Find out if there is a total revolution possible in human psyche...so that his modes of action arise out of stillness rather then thought......unless and until one undergoes such a mutation....War can never end...conflict can never end....and so is suffering.

THE REMEMBRANCE

by Jeffrey Erkhart

Day by day as we go on

Except for this particular day we stand in awe

The sacrifices that our heroes made

One those horrible and shocking days

We lower our flags out of respect for the ones who gave

Their lives on those sad and tragic days

Here it is once again

A day of tears and sorrow for our fallen friends

But through it all we stand strong

With our heroes who died and gave their all
