I think my bestfriend and boyfriend like eachother..help me!

Okay i've been going out with my boyfriend for 16 months. We went out off and on before this 16 month period. Anyway these past few months he has been going over to my best friends house. At first i thought it was because i was over there pretty much everyday...but he still goes over there when he knows i'm not there. Last week he called my friend, woke her up...and said he was coming over.

 

During the time that me and my boyfriend were off and on dating he liked my friend...but when we started going out for real he said he didnt anymore..and i believed him. My friend used to hate him too. Anyway since they've started becoming better friends and hanging out i've dropped hints occasionally and even came right out and said i dont like them hanging out without me.

 

All they say is "i love you, and you know i would never do something like that to hurt you." I believe them when they say that...i've been friends with my best friend for 10 years and i know she wouldn't do anything. The thing that bothers me is that they always says "even if we did like eachother we would never act on it because we wouldnt hurt you like that." Right there....does that mean they possibly like eachother now and just aren't doing anything about it because i'm in the way?

 

The main reason i continue to think that they like eachother is that they both know that i hate them hanging out with eachother...not just because i'm jealous..it's beyond jealousy...but anyway jsut the fact that they know i'm not okay with them hanging out and they continue to do it anyway really just hurts. It's like if you tell someone you dont like tomatoes in your salad....don't you get mad when they put them there anyway..despite whatever you say? It's just rude...inconsiderate...or am i just being a psycho girlfriend?

 

Someone please help me...i love my boyfriend and i dont want to lose him...but i just hate the feeling i get when i hear that he was over at my best friends house.

 

Do you think they really do like eachother or am i just crazy? What should i do? Help!!!! I'm desperate....

It could just be that they have become good friends, but to me it sounds like he likes her and might be messing around on you.

 

A guy can have a girl as a friend, that is just a friend.

 

I say talk to your boyfriend. Tell him that you are worried and don't want to be taken for the fool. Ask for the truth, whatever it may be.

so ur boyfriend and ur best friend continue to hang out even though u have explictly told them that u don't want them to without u... sounds like something is going on to me, but u will have to decide for urself. besides, if u asked ur best friend to NOT do something, and she keeps doing it knowing how u feel, then in my opinion she can't be ur best friend. u should sit them down and ask them straight if something is going on. good luck.
