coolgirl Posted August 15, 2010 Share Posted August 15, 2010 I really need help on something I have been having trouble sleeping for the past almost 2 weeks. I am tierd and exhausted. I am having a hard time falling alseep it almost takes me up to 2 hours to fall asleep. I have tried advil pm that didnt work, tynonel pm that didnt work, I tried a stress/sleep pill that worked a couple of months ago but when i started taking them again eventually somehow my system is not responding to it. If anyone has taken sleep medication off the counter would anyone recommend me a good medication that can knock me out in 5 minutes. Please, I need to sleep I'm tierd. Link to comment

writingislove Posted August 17, 2010 Share Posted August 17, 2010 I've struggled with insomnia for about a year now, so I know how awful it is. I've found that wearing earplugs helps tremendously; the quieter it is, the easier it is to fall asleep. Also, if I'm too warm I can't fall asleep so I have an easier time doing it if I kick off my blankets. If you're really wanting to do a prescription sleep aid, my mom was just started on Lunesta and she says it works wonders...but it's pretty expensive. Link to comment
LarsWB Posted August 17, 2010 Share Posted August 17, 2010 I second the MELATONIN advice. Works excellent for me and I have trouble sleeping due to my marriage issues. It's natural, I've felt no side effects and I sleep like a rock. Go get some, try it. Take a hot shower before bed too. Good luck Link to comment
