Why does it feell this way ?

If any of you have been in an LDR and ended that way....why is it harder to move on if you have not seen that person in a while ? Why does not the image of that person just disappear if they are not around u...if u cannot see them...why their memory just does not disappear and we miss them so much ?

When you don't see the person your imagination can fill in all of the little details about them that reality is unable to dispel due to them not being there in person. If you are missing them, then your mind fills in the gaps with positive things.

If you are LDR, its "normal" for that person not to physically be there, so when you break up, the process may be a little different. Sure, you won't be calling or emailing, etc, but the physical closeness is different than in a close proximity relationship.

I think you can also over-romantisize a person when they're not around ..particularly if you're not happy in your current situation.
