Lighter period & spotting on BC week before period

I've been on the birth control pill for about 10 years. I have used three different types of pills: Microgynon 30/Ovranette, Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo and Cilest. I've been on Cilest for about 9 months, but switched from a cyclical one to one that contains the same amount of hormones all the way through the cycle maybe 6 months ago. I have had no problems.

 

My last period was about 25-50% lighter than it usually is and this month I started spotting one week before my period was due. I decided to wait and see if my actual period would come when it is supposed to and it did, but it is also quite light. I am leaving soon for a month and am wondering if I should go to the doctor or not before I depart.

Spotting is pretty normal on birth control.
