Cryotherapy vs. laser in HPV

I have HPV, and I am supposed to go for treatment for abnormal cells soon (freezing which is cryotherapy- or laser) My doctor says freezing is good enough, but I have read that the cervix heals in way that makes it difficult for later assessments. is this true? should I go for Laser therapy instead? any difference in success rates too?

I had both done and still ended up with cervical cancer.. it all is how far along the hpv has progressed... I hear freezing is the better route if you are still in an early phase.
