My mom lied to me, & I'm not sure if I should confront her

I understand her mom wanting to have some privacy, but what if something bad happened either to PsychGirl or her mom, and she has no idea who she's with or where she is??

 

Obviously OP is an adult now. There's no reason for mom to try to cover this up. OP sounds very reasonable and I'm sure would not have given Mom a hard time for going to Vegas alone with him.

 

Edit - OP, maybe you can write her a letter just to tell her you're sorry you upset her, and that you don't need to know the details of her relationship, but let her know that it's very important to you that she does not lie about her whereabouts in the future ..

 

There's no reason this should be a source of tension between you two.
