My trust in him has been lost

What do you do when you find out someone who you trusted with your life has betrayed your trust?

 

I feel as though someone has poked a stake through my heart. I can not believe he would do something like this to me. He knows more about me than any other person alive and i though he was my friend but i guess I was wrong.

 

I dont think there is any coming back from this. Can trust be rebuilt after it has been destroyed?

Once I lose trust in someone, in my opinion they cannot be trusted again....and I say goodbye. If people will betray your trust, are they really the kind of people you want to keep in your life? For me, its a sound 'no'.

Depends on what he did, but once my trust is gone it doesn't really come back.

I found out he has been saying some horrible things about me behind my back. I asked him if he has ever said anything about me and he told me no. The persons who brought it to my attention have no reason to lie to me.

 

I dont know what to do? Do I believe him who is supposed to be my friend or do i believe the other people.
