Is this right or wrong? please help

Ok everyone please help me decide if this is right or wrong. I have a b/f that is about 20 years older than me but he is in jail and we are currently having problems. Now there is another guy in the picture who is only a couple years older and not in jail. the problem is he is the father of my best-friends child. They broke up before the child was born and she now has a new boyfriend but would it hurt our friendship?

This new guy and I used to not talk and now that we do we realize we like each other and have alot in common which my friend and him did not they both were just in the relationship to have someone to be with and made the mistake of having a child togethher. I really like this guy but don't want to ruin my friendship so please give me your opinions

Ok I am 19 and so is my friend. The new guy just turned 21.
