I broke up with my g/f 2 days ago and she has called me 3-4 times, emailed, and text me several times. It's funny how when you go NC, all of a sudden they want to talk to you, listen, and are willing to work things out. By that time, it's too late to come back.

 

NC is the way to go!!! Get yourself together and then if you feel like contacting that person, do it.

Its good to hear from the dumpers perspective. I dont want to insult the OP in saying this, but I am speaking as a recent dumpee when I say that the OP sounds a bit conceited. I know for myself, I am not going to give my ex the satisfaction of "being in control" like that. Just think of your ex rubbing their hands together hunched over saying: "I've got him/her right where i want them, muahahaha." Nope, not for me, I havent contacted since returning his call last wednesday, wherein I asked him not to contact me. Thats just me.
