Those dimples are just the area where the spinal erector muscles attach to a woman's pelvis, there is no real anatomical term for them. The juncture of those two bones is called the sacral sulcus -- that's what shows up as the indentation you are talking about. It's more prominent in some people than others, due to bone structure as well as surrounding muscle mass and fat. And it's not just women that have it. Men do, too. Link to comment
