Hidden Bruises.

Recommended Posts

This is not a true story. Just a poem i wrote from my own head. This did not happen to me or anyone i know. Just thought you should know that.

And suddenly the skies seem darker,

The shadows drawing nearer,

Her voice is stuck in her throat,

Her screams, silent.

No ones here to save her,

Shes running from her fate,

Shes trying to outwit it,

She doesn't know she was bait.

In the empty house,

The creaky sounds of doom,

She hides beneath her bed,

Eyes held shut, this cannot be true.

"Hello sweet angel",

His voice so icy and cold,

"Why are you hiding my angel?

You should be doing what you're told."

Her eyes leak tears of fear,

Listen carefully you may hear,

Her soft sweet wimpers,

Oh she knows he is near.

Her hands cover her ears,

Her body out of control,

Stiff yet shaking,

She begins to crawl.

"Oh angel why do you cry?"

His hand upon her face,

Can you hear his evil laugh,

She is lost without a trace.

So here it comes again,

Her fate, her torture,

To the cold tiles upon the floor she does fall,

"Im just like your teacher, here to teach you a lesson"

His voice echos through the room,

His fists upon her face.

His feet attack her sides,

What is with this place?

This is world she was born to,

Left alone, all alone.

So when his finished for the night,

And she cleans the broken bottles,

She wonders what she did,

To deserve such a fate.

And out of fear she does stay,

Yet out of fear she does hide,

Will they ever see her truly,

The bruises she covers, the pain she smiles away.

I doubt they will ever see,

While the bruises fade away,

The pain will forever stay.
