The subject is a lyric from the song "Letter To Me", by Brad Paisley.

 

The first 2 verses are:

and then I'd say I know it's tough

It is of course, about him being able to write a letter to himself at 17 and explaining that it does get better.

 

To me, the subject lyric describes the pain of "losing a love" or "going through this", as being "rare" in the sense that to have this type of pain, one must have really been able to love deeply and hard.

 

That thought to me is moving and refreshing, all at the same time, because it means that I/we have all had the ability to experience love on a level that everyone should get to experience.

 

I also believe that "type" of love will happen again...

I think those lyrics are gorgeous! I can absolutely relate to them too...time will heal the wounds and make us stronger for the future, for sure!

I just love Brad Paisley.

 

His lyrics aren't to be taken too seriously though. It is light country music played by an awesome guitarist.

Clearly, the guy was probably a nerd in HS. That's why he spent so much time practicing! There's always a bit of irony and sarcasm in all of his tunes. Very refreshing.

Maybe there is some truth in your statement...

 

His song "Online" plays out about a nerd being cooler "Online".

 

That one carries a little bit of sarcasm too...

 

But country music and love songs always get to me...
