ARRRGGGHH! Empty Nest Syndrome

Two weeks ago we escorted our child to uni.

 

Yesterday I was writing love poems to her. I miss her so much

 

I feel like an emo parent... :splat:

 

Any other parents out there have tips on how to deal with ENS?

I've never had kids, and will never know the joys.

I envy you.

Someday they'll be back at your door, possibly with grandchildren.

From what I've seen, this isn't the end of anything.

well - I can say that I feel like I sort of understand...in a different way.

 

My youngest son is starting pre-school this year and my middle daughter is starting kindergarten. That means ALL of my kids will be in school now....

 

I am starting to feel really sad and depressed about the whole thing even tho I've been waiting for the day.......but now that's its here, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself.

 

But really, even tho they will be coming home at the end of the school day, I feel like I can sort of understand what you're feeling.....maybe....a little.....

That's it... I thought I was looking forward to it - but now I'm like, "This sucks."

 

I cannot wait until she comes back to visit next month.

Thanks for the replies too, guys. I am pretty happy and think I did a fairly good job of preparing her, but I just had a huge swarm of missing her come over me, and like a good little eNAer I had to share.
